Your resume and selection criteria
We will never share, sell, disclose, or otherwise use your personally identifiable information other than to provide you the services you have requested. We do reserve the right to utilise format, style, and general appearance of finalised resumes, cover letters, responses to selection criteria, and suitability statements and to modify resumes, cover letters, responses to selection criteria, suitability statements (which would always include removing personally identifiable information) to promote or explain our products and services.
By purchasing a service from us, you grant us nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to edit, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content, minus any personally identifiable information. By providing us with information either verbally or in writing, you represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you provide, that the content is accurate, that the use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity, and that you will indemnify us for all claims resulting from the content you supply. We assume no responsibility or liability for any content provided by you or any other third party. Please note, Definitive Applications and Resumes does not guarantee interviews or jobs.
Documents will be sent to you within seven (7) days of your phone consultation in a WORD and PDF format. In the event you are required to add additional information to a document (generally when you do not have a specific position you are applying for), you will receive a WORD document only.
Your phone consultation date and time will not be arranged until confirmation of payment has been received. Where your consultation time has been tentatively booked in, if payment confirmation is not received at least one business day prior to your scheduled consultation time, your phone consultation will not proceed and will be scheduled upon receipt of payment confirmation.
If you cancel or reschedule your phone consultation on the day of your consultation, you will incur a $60 administration charge. Please note: this does not apply in emergencies – Definitive Applications and Resumes must review and approve this prior to this being waived.
To allow your writer time to prepare for your phone consultation, please provide all requested documentation at least one business day prior to your phone consultation. Please note: this timeframe is not relevant for Express Orders, for these orders, documents must be submitted as soon as possible after the consultation has been scheduled.
By purchasing a product or service, you agree to pay the fees associated with the transaction, including any taxes that may be applicable to your purchase in advance.
Please note: we do not offer refunds or exchanges once a purchase is made. If you would like to cancel or postpone, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
If you submit a testimonial to us, you agree, give permission and grant any necessary license to us to use it, but you agree we are under no obligation to use any testimonial submitted. We may use testimonials in whole or in part, but in any use, will identify you only by first name, last initial, city and state. We reserve the right to review, correct grammatical or typing errors, and edit or summarise testimonials prior to use. If you do not agree with any of these conditions, do not submit a testimonial to us.
We are committed to providing you with a professionally written resume, cover letter, response to selection criteria or suitability statement that meets all industry standards and any requirements set forth in the position description or other supporting documentation for the position for which you are applying. In this respect, we offer a seven (7) day review period after you receive your documents to request changes. It is up to you to review your documents in this period. Any changes requested after this review period will incur a charge of $50 per hour with a minimum of one-hour charge.
If you are unsatisfied with your order, please contact a customer service representative who will assign you to a new writer to better meet your needs. We do not offer cancellations or refunds for change of mind or not being available at your scheduled consultation time unless otherwise agreed at our sole discretion. All refunds granted under these circumstances will be charged a refund fee of $60. Refunds or reassignment will not be granted after the 7-day review period following receipt of your completed documents.
In the event of a major problem, Definitive Applications and Resumes is committed to complying with Australia Consumer Law as set out by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
